patch 9.1.1432: GTK GUI: Buffer menu does not handle unicode correctly

Problem:  GTK GUI: Buffer menu does not handle unicode correctly
Solution: Get rid of the BMHash() function (SUN Haitao)

fixes: #17403
closes: #17405
